PFC TO RECEIVE $837,741 IN FLORIDA
REIMBURSEMENTS FOR 2 FILM PROJECTS;
DVD RELEASE ANNOUNCED FOR 3RD

8/09/2007

Orlando, FL . . . The Pamplin Film Company (PFC) has been certified for reimbursement by Florida's Office of the Governor for $742,741 for two upcoming film projects. PFC submitted applications for the first-time on July 1 and received notification last week that the state has awarded $712,550 to "Crimebusters," a feature film, and $30,191 for a documentary, "The Oscar Lose Story."

The money has been allocated from the Entertainment Industry Financial Incentive Program, a $25 million fund established by the state legislature to encourage Florida filmmaking, and PFC expects to add another 2%, or about $95,000, to the "Crimebusters" total for qualifying as a "family friendly" production.

"Crimebusters" has been in development for years and PFC owner Rick Pamplin, a Hollywood screenwriter-turned-independent filmmaker, feels the state's support will allow him to close production funding for a fall 2007 shoot at Universal Studios in Orlando. Academy Award-winner Ernest Borgnine and Michael Winslow have signed contracts to star. Pamplin hopes to add a third "name" actress to his cast; "Hopefully, a Florida resident," he says, "so her salary can be eligible for reimbursement."

"The Oscar Lose Story" is a one hour documentary about a dog and his amazing owner, Florida resident Dr. M. Phyllis Lose, author of "No Job for a Lady" and other animal books.

A third PFC production, "Magic 4 Morons," an award-winning video starring Winslow and magician Lyndel, will also be released on DVD this week. For more info go to: www.nemoursmarketing.com
